Panel seal (soft seal) for wall penetrations to protect both single and bundled cables (including optical fiber cables) and their supporting structures (cable trays and ladders) made of steel as well as pipes listed in the ETA-15/0237.
- Non-combustible pipes (e.g. steel) ≤ 108 mm
- Copper pipes ≤ 88,9 mm
- Combustible pipes made of PVC ≤ 110 mm
- Single cables up to Ø 80 mm
- Cable bundles up to Ø 100 mm
- Conduits ≤ 25 mm
- Rubber insulated pipes AF/Armaflex
- Waveguide cables ≤ 50,4 mm
- Single core lines ≤ 24 mm
Areas of application
In all according to EN 13501-2 classified
- Walls (masonry | concrete | aerated concrete | lightweight partitions | With steel or wood studs, thickness ≥ 100 mm), maximum size of the penetration seal height = 100 cm, width = 60 cm or heigth = 60 cm, width = 100 cm
Special benefits
- The coating can be applied by spraying, brushing or trowelling
- No dripping of material, clean work area
- Easy and fast installation and retrofitting
- Approved for lightweight partitions with steel and wood studs
- Short coating length of the installations ( 25 cm)
- Coatable with aqueous emulsion paint
- Seal is made of only one 60 mm thick mineral wool board
- Installation of the penetration seal also in rooms with low or excess pressure
- Highly flexible because cables and pipes in one seal
- Penetration of rubber insulated pipes AF/Armaflex (refrigerant pipes)
- Penetration of conduits up to 3 pieces each 25 mm, rigid | flexible | occupied | unoccupied | combustible | non-combustible
- Penetration of bundled conduits up to Ø115 mm
- Compound is resistant to moisture and UV rays
Installation instructions
In the first step, close the through-penetration opening with the 60 mm thick mineral wool board FLAMRO BS 60/2. Bond the board flush and tightly into place using FLAMRO BMS. Any joints between board and soffit, joints between cut surfaces of fitting pieces as well as joints between board and cables are also to be coated with FLAMRO BMS and thus to be sealed.
Cable and cable supporting structures, conduits and sectional insulations must be coated with FLAMRO BMA on both sides of the penetration seal with a length of 25 cm and a thickness of about 2 mm.
When installed in Germany, the penetration seal must be labelled permanently. The label is to be affixed next to the penetration seal. The CE-labels are available at FLAMRO Brandschutz-Systeme GmbH.
Retrofitting
Retrofitting is performed easily. Arising joints are to be sealed with FLAMRO BMS or FLAMRO BMK, post installed cables are to be coated with FLAMRO BMA.
